Do you have a question? Below are some of the most frequently asked questions received by our HR department. 
If you cannot find the answer you are looking for or have any other questions, please go to the Contact Us section. Our Human Resources team will get back to you as soon as possible.

 

1. I forgot my password, what should I do?

Log on to the candidate space and click "Forgot Password".
To receive it by email, enter your username (email used when creating your candidate space).

2. How long will my resume be active?

Your informations will be deleted after 24 months if they are not updated.

3. Can I apply with my smartphone or my tablet?

The current version of the recruitment site is optimized for proper operation on smartphones and tablets.

4. How do I update my profile candidate?

Log on to the candidate space with your username.
Your candidate profile contains all the elements you informed when sending your first application to an offer.
To change them, just click on the "Edit my information" button at the bottom of the candidate profile and fill or modify the fields.

5. How do I disable my profile?

Connect to your candidate space with your username and click «delete my account».

6. I can't attach my resume and / or my cover letter. What should I do?

The size of attachments is limited to 500 KB. Only file types doc, rtf, pdf, tif, tiff, docx, html is allowed.

7. How to apply?

To apply, submit your application on our website http://www.recrutement.galerieslafayette.com or http://www.recrutement.bhv.fr.
You have two options:

  • either respond to an offer via your candidate space; in which case, you must have completed your first application.
  • or submit your speculative application.
8. How do I send my speculative application?

Click "Submit a speculative application" after logging in your candidate space. Then simply fill out the form for your profile. Do not forget to save it by clicking the "send" button.

9. What is the recruitment process?

Branch Department Stores is always looking for new talent, bringing the company a new vision.
Our recruitment process includes 4 stages. It is marked by meetings with HR professionals and line managers.

 

  1. Apply for a position online. You will receive an automated acknowledgment confirming that we have received your application. Our recruiters will review your case carefully and contact you if your profile meets the company's needs.
  2. If your application matches our expectations, a recruiter will contact you to assess your profile and experience.
  3. If you are pre-selected for the position, you will be prompted one or more meetings to discuss your skills. Once the final decision, you will be informed as soon as possible.
  4. If you are selected for the position, you will have an offer of employment. After acceptance, you will begin the process of integration.
10. Do you recruit interns and / or student-apprentices ?

Yes, we recruit trainees, training contracts and apprenticeship contracts. Many internships are to be filled at the headquarters in the marketing departments, purchase, management, e-commerce, supply chain, ...
Work-study contracts are also available at headquarters, in stores and on our logistics sites. All ads appear on this site, and you can directly apply online!

11. Do you participate in forums?

Yes, we participate in a dozen forums each year and also organize events in the Department Stores Business Line.

12. What are your partner schools?

We are the partner universities and Grandes Ecoles, but also other organizations in the regions. We build partnerships according to our businesses and our recruitment needs.

13. Is geographical mobility required to evolve in Galeries Lafayette or BHV MARAIS ?

We promote the development of all our employees and prefer internal promotion within our different brands or entities. Geographical mobility is important to evolve as it allows, changing store or structure to take on new responsibilities.

14. Are there opportunities internationally?

The international opening of several stores (Berlin, Dubai, Casablanca, Jakarta, Beijing and soon in Doha and Istanbul) represents more opportunities for our future employees.

15. How is managed my career path within the company?

16. Is there an internal training department ?
